WHAT IS IT?

Chlamydia is the most common bacterial Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) in Ottawa.

If not treated, chlamydia can cause serious complications in men and women.

HOW DO YOU GET IT?

You can get chlamydia from unprotected vaginal, oral or anal sex.

You can pass it on without even knowing you are infected.

HOW CAN YOU TELL IF YOU HAVE IT?

Most people do not experience any symptoms.

Testing is the only way you will know if you have chlamydia.

HOW IS IT TREATED?

Chlamydia is easily treated with antibiotics.
